Head of Telegram Media

The employer is launching a large infotainment Telegram channel for a Russian-speaking audience and is looking for a head to develop the concept, build the team, drive audience growth and bring the project to profitability. The role is fully remote with a fixed fee plus performance bonuses, terms negotiated individually.

What you'll do

• Develop the channel concept, positioning, content policy and style
• Build the team and set up editorial processes from scratch
• Develop and execute an audience growth strategy: buy traffic, develop partnerships and test promotion channels
• Manage the budget, build a financial model and a monetization strategy
• Own key metrics: reach, engagement, cost per subscriber and payback
• Analyze results and make data-driven decisions

What we need

• Experience launching and scaling Telegram channels to 500,000+ subscribers
• Understanding of mass news or entertainment media
• Ability to build a team from scratch and manage an editorial team
• Hands-on experience buying advertising and managing ad budgets
• Understanding of Telegram media economics and ability to monetize projects
• Entrepreneurial mindset and readiness to own the business result
