Lawyer (iGaming & FinTech) / Legal Counsel (Licensing)

A payment aggregator (PSP) is looking for a lawyer to support licensing in iGaming and FinTech. Remote work, $40/hour. Tasks include restoring an MSB license in Canada, obtaining gaming licenses, contract work, and developing AML/ATF policies.

What you'll do

• Restore the MSB license in Canada: analyze reasons for revocation, prepare an appeal, and interact with FINTRAC.
• Support obtaining a new MSB: register a legal entity in Canada, submit an application, and develop AML/ATF policies.
• Support obtaining gaming licenses in various jurisdictions.
• Handle contract work: NDAs with providers, MSAs considering cross-jurisdictional risks.
• Create roadmaps with deadlines and stage costs.

What we need

• Experience in iGaming.
• Understanding of requirements for beneficiaries and tax residents.
• Experience with licensing in international jurisdictions.
• Ability to work with project roadmaps.
• Fluent legal English.
• Experience writing MSAs from scratch.
