Director of Frontend Engineering

Manage the frontend direction (development + UI/design) with a team of 70+ people. Responsible for scaling teams through team leads, developing engineering leads, setting engineering culture, and ensuring quality and delivery.

What you'll do

• Manage the frontend direction (development + UI/design), team of ~70+ people.
• Scale teams through team leads, develop engineering leads.
• Shape engineering culture, development standards, and quality.
• Build and improve development and delivery processes.
• Control quality, stability, and delivery timelines.
• Participate in architectural decisions (including micro-frontend approach).
• Manage technical debt and improve solution resilience.
• Develop and hire key specialists.
• Cross-functional work with product, backend, and design.

What we need

• Experience managing teams of 40+ people (through team leads / multiple teams).
• Experience building development processes and scaling delivery.
• Strong background in frontend development.
• Experience developing engineers and leads (mentoring, growth, performance review).
• Understanding of complex frontend system architecture.
• Experience with high-load web products.
• Strong communication skills and cross-functional experience.
• Proficiency in Vue (2/3) and React.
• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience with micro-frontend architecture (Webpack Module Federation).
• Experience with unit testing (Jest).
